NOTES: Please separate glass bottles and jars into clear, brown, green bins. No plate glass, Pyrex, mirrors, light bulbs, or drinking glasses. Remove paper from steel (food) cans and rinse clean.

Yard trimmings: cut trees, limbs, grass clippings and leaves may be brought to DeKalb County's Seminole Landfill on Clevemont Road. The trimmings are shredded and composted. Citizens pay no fee to drop off yard trimmings and may take home free wood mulch. Call 404/244-4893. The Seminole Landfill accepts foam rubber, appliances, and refrigerators for recycling. Call DeKalb Sanitation Division at 404/294-2900 for pick-up.

Tires: The Seminole Landfill accepts vehicle tires from DeKalb County Residences. All EPA authorized tire dealers will take auto tires at a fee of $1 per tire. For directions for disposal of household hazardous waste, call the Pollution Prevention Assistance Division at the Department of Natural Resources at 404/651-5120.
